Pathora ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Pathora mobile application and website at pathora.cc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Pathora, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google as part of the authentication process. We store this in your Pathora profile.

Trip & Preference Data

When you plan a trip, you provide us with destinations, trip duration, budget range, travel style, and activity preferences. We store this data to generate and save your itineraries.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the app — such as screens visited, features used, and crash reports — to improve performance and fix issues. This data does not identify you personally.

Device Information

We collect basic device information (operating system, device type, app version) to ensure compatibility and improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and display your AI-generated travel itineraries
  • To save and sync your trips across devices via your account
  • To personalize suggestions based on your saved travel preferences

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

Pathora relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Google Firebase (Auth & Firestore)

We use Firebase Authentication to handle sign-in and Firebase Firestore to store your trips and profile data. Firebase is a Google product. Your data is stored on Google's infrastructure.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (via Firebase), which applies industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use HTTPS for all communications between the app and our servers.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your Google account secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated data — including your profile, saved trips, and preferences — within 30 days.

6. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — update or correct your profile information from within the app
  • Deletion — permanently delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability — request an export of your trip data
  • Objection — object to certain processing of your data

To delete your account: Go to the Pathora app → Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all data. You can also email hello@pathora.ai to request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Pathora is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at hello@pathora.ai and we will promptly delete it.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your data, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Pathora does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@pathora.ai.

9. International Users & GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of our service contract with you and our legitimate interest in improving the app.
